Dow Chemical has come up with two plans, one short term, .the other long term. The reviews are coming in and so far they are mixed.
Kent Mulholland has lived near the Tittabawassee River for close to fifty years. He's taking Dow's plan at face value. The plan includes soil testing, establishing a community information center, and hand-wash stations at parks along the river.
Michelle Hurd Riddick of the environmental group Lonetree Council says it's not good enough. More than 200 property owner in the Tittabawassee River floodplain are seeking compensation from Dow for years of dioxin emissions into the river.
