Flooding causes more road closures near Tittabawassee River in Midland County

MIDLAND The list of flooded roadways continues to grow as the Tittabawassee River swells in Midland County.

As of 5:30 p.m., the river had exceeded 22 feet and continued to rise, county authorities said. Flood stage is 24 feet.

National Weather Service experts advise the river is likely to crest around 26.5 feet some time Friday morning.

The latest road closures in Midland County are:

North Tittabawassee River Road between East Saginaw and Green roads;

West Miller Road between South Magrudder and South Alamando roads;

South Magrudder Road between West Isabella and West Prairie roads; and,

North Geneva Road between West Ruhle and West McNally roads.

Earlier this afternoon, authorities reported flooding on Dublin Road south of Plumtree Lane and Tittabawassee River Road between Green and Lambert roads.

Additional road closures include West St. Andrews Road between Orchard Drive and Michigan Molecular Institute, North Tittabawassee River Road between Dublin Avenue and Cook Road, and Golfside Drive were closed because of flooding.

Emerson Park also remains closed.
